always trumped by Ignorance and Bigotry
Smack dab the middle of California agricultural country is a University widely known for its agricultural sciences and its veterinary school. [we took a dog there once, met the World’s Expert on doggie-hide [Frentch fella] and got a diagnosis that no one else could come up with that saved her life.]
It’s also known for being a like, totally organikkk, PC, ban the plastic bag, wear your Uggs with short-shorts in January type University Town similar to Bezerekeley [tho not so urban/hostile] or Boulder and Ann Arbor, etc.
This:
Anti-Israel activists at the University of California, Davis heckled Jewish students and shouted “Allahhu Akbar” at them during a vote last week on a resolution endorsing a boycott of the Jewish state
So at the hippy-dippy, feeeelgood, organikkk University of Toooolerance and Diveeeersity it’s Hawt to shout for — and work for — the obliteration of another Nation and the death of a People.
Ignorance and Bigotry triumph.
…an eight to two vote in favor of the divestment resolution, which is part of a larger movement by anti-Israel groups to attack Israel and pro-Israel students on campus.
…Students for Justice in Palestine (SJP), unknown vandals spray-painted swastikas on a fraternity house belonging to the Jewish AEPi organization…
…”Israel will fall insha’Allah.””…
This oughta work out well.
Political correctness is communist propaganda writ small. In my study of communist societies, I came to the conclusion that the purpose of communist propaganda was not to persuade or convince, nor to inform, but to humiliate; and therefore, the less it corresponded to reality the better.
When people are forced to remain silent when they are being told the most obvious lies, or even worse when they are forced to repeat the lies themselves, they lose once and for all their sense of probity.
To assent to obvious lies is to co-operate with evil, and in some small way to become evil oneself. One’s standing to resist anything is thus eroded, and even destroyed. A society of emasculated liars is easy to control. I think if you examine political correctness, it has the same effect and is intended to.
